Ideas and Improvements
Hi! We want to hear from you – what can we do to make sure that Scoop.it is the best platform it can possibly be? Don’t hesitate to share thoughts, ideas, improvements, or features that you’d like to see implemented.

dump the suggested content slide out
The new slide out for suggested content is very difficult to use. The scroll bar for the suggested content window is inseperable from the scroll bar for the window behind it. That makes it very hard to scroll through the new post to curate them. Also, when you use the scoop it button in the slide out window, the whole list goes back to the top and you have to read through it all over again.
15 votesI’m very sorry that you don’t like the suggested content slider and thank you for your feedback, it’s really helpful and I do appreciate it.
—Based on the user data gathered by the test, we are planning to keep the slider (I’m sorry!). BUT, if you close the panel once, it will remember that position and always stay closed until you open it.
—You shouldn’t have to clear the content in the suggestion slider to get it to close. Are you experiencing this? If so, please email me so we can figure it out.
—I’m sorry we weren’t able to give you guys a quicker heads up. We had planned on it, but I think something got lost in translation. Apologies for that.Thank you so much for your support and feedback to make Scoop.it better. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have!
Best,

Help enable unique content in Scoop.it.
Robin Good created a unique article. When it was reScooped, his origina text was gone, along with the sense of the article and the links therein. I went to reScoop a reScooped version and found no way to get that content besides going back to the original and dumping it into my curator comments.
Here's our dialog:
Hi Mike Ellsworth,
Robin Good just added a new comment on Creating Great Images With Quotes Is Like Creating Flags For Your Fans To Wave: 3 Free Tools To Create Your Own. (5902 comments)« Hi Mike, rescoops suck in many ways and…

Allow people with FB, Google accounts etc to comment
I think it would be beneficial if people without a scoop account (because many may not want one) could add a comment to scoops and thus increase readership interest and involvement.

Guide for New Content Curators for Curating Content
Is there already something which tells curators how to post content, not just the mechanical side but the actual posting like a guide to better content curating versus just adding links like a dumping ground.
Could each content curator here awhile contribute a tip or two and have a link back to their account (or a topic on it) to promote our topics but also show people some good examples of how to display the content curated.
I'm writing this because I'd like to see people here who are taking the time and care to do it right. Too many…

Tag Manager
Build a TAG MANAGER that will allow you to edit your TAGS (delete the spelling mistakes etc.) Also allow you to put TAGs into groups. I often use the same tags for many of my Scoops. If I could just enter a whole group quickly with code or something that would really save a bunch of time and I could curate more!

Auto-scoop
an "auto scoop" option attached to each source that would automatically scoop posts from these sources and share them with the default options of the topic

Liste de liens résumée
Je pense qu'une liste de liens abrégée,( jseulement les titres) qui reprendrait tous les posts pourrait-être utile ... Ellle pourrait être reprise sur les blogs ....
merci pour vos services

Search by user
It would be great if we could search by user - let's say a colleague tells me they are on Scoop-it - I'd like to be able to type in their name and locate their page.

Provide a "contact support" that does NOT rely on your widget (which doesn't work on my comp)
Your widget doesn't work for me, hence I can't send email to support and have to post here.
Your new CSS (aka "the slider") has been broken since day one.
For some reason,it works on bazaar, but not at all on "news we like".
Please contact me by email since I can't contact you.1 vote -

Need an easier way to bulk approve
Bulk deletion / acceptance of suggestions is really needed.

Add the possibility to select tags in the export function
It would be great to filter articles by tags when using the export function.
Thanks !

Is there away we can remove the share buttons for each article? I think there should be an option on whether you want to share the article
Option to remove the share buttons

Create a new topic while "scooping"
When adding to a topic I only see the option to add to an already created topic. I don't want to have to constantly create topics separately while curating. There should be an option to choose a topic from the list or create one on the spot. Pinterest offers this.

better support for pdf's
A link to http://lgtmedical.com/LGT_WHITEPAPER.pdf creates a huge blank white area. I'm guessing that's because you're only showing the top-left corner of the page; can you shrink the image to show the whole page? (alternatively, perhaps your pdf rendering needs some love?)The blank white really messes up my feed.

Allow for blockage of scoop.it users posting SPAM with links.
Spam comments are becoming huge issue. Scoop.it members are commenting on posts made that are nothing more then spam with links. There needs to be a way to block these abusers from continuing this practice

"Clear Page" to clear all suggestions
IO often have more than 100 suggested content (and don't know how much)
After few days in vacations, it is just unmanageable and I just would rather clear them all.
It seems "clear page" only clears a dozen. Why not give option to clear all?1 vote
