How can we improve Scoop.it?

Assign categories and tags from Scoops to Wordpress

When scooping to my Wordpress blog, it would be great to use categories and share the tags from the scoop into Wordpress. The Wordpress menu system has an easy way to use categories, so it would make a lot of sense to associate certain scoops with categories. Since you already have tags, that should be relatively straightforward as well.

In addition to categories, it would be great to be able to set which post type to share to. For example, I have a WP site for which i have defined custom post types for events, news and articles. This ability would make sure the scoops shared on my site end up with the right post type.

Just being able to scoop the the posts's tags onto wordpress's tags would be hugely helpful. It is a time killer.

I have a very large collection of curated links I hope to add to scoop.it. Is there a way to organize tags hierarchically? My links are organized into a taxonomy, and I would like visitors to be able to navigate this taxonomy to find the proper resources on scoop. At current it seems that all tags are simply top level, so I'm looking for a way to treat tags more like Wordpress categories that can be structured.
