  I agree. Why is feedback even more prominent than 'share' or comment icon for readers ?

  Read the UserVoice Documentation and you'll find out that you can use it as a simple link somewhere in the footer, instead of the annoying floating button.

  I certainly wont be upgrading until this and the other scoop.it links can be removed. White labeling does not mean co-branding

  I can see having this for the free version, but I would think that for the business plan where the scoop is branded, the users would think they'd be sending feedback to me as the site owner and therefore I would think the feedback button should be optionally hidden for business users

  Many people contact us with this button requesting for help or suggesting new ideas, so we're not disposed to not display it. However, be sure that we will check if we can hide it in the case of white labeling.
