Support Advertising such as Google Adsense in topics
Will there possibly be a Google Adsense feature added in the future?

Like many, I would love to support the business version of this platform but with no way to monetize it, I can't justify the expense. If it were less expensive, maybe. But there's such a huge jump in cost from Pro to Business that I can't see it's worthwhile.

Will there be a reply from scoop. It on that?

Indeed, that's really the biggest lack of the system. I registered and started my topics conviced that this options will come in the future.

I agree here as well. Integration with your Adsense account is absolutely a must. Scoop.it staff? What are your thoughts?

One year later and lots of comments, but nothing from Scoop.it? I really like the service, but with no way to monetize I cannot justify paying for the Business version.

Just considering starting a scoop it on my site and instantly ended up here. A sign its needed! Surely an adsense per topic is the way forward

This feature is essential. How can you expect businesses to pay for the business plan if they cannot monetize their own site?

I love Scoop.it. That said, but Advertising in form of Google Adsense in essential.
I'm using the Pro version and would jump to the business version, if some sort of monetization would be catered for. Scoop.it is great, but there a many Content Curation systems out there. So get your ducks in a row and offer a means of monetization for the Business Plan. -

Add another vote to the pile - would love to use Scoop. It! to replace printed magazines many of my clients produce - but they can't lose the advertising revenue the publications generate.
Would prefer a way to provide my own ad rotator as it opens up a significant amount of opportunity for different forms of advertising.

Why is it taking from September to review this when there is obviously a demand for it?
With a paid package surely users should be allowed to monetize? -

Tech team...any udpates on being able to add banner ads?....even if an api to OpenX. Or a deal with AdJuggler, or Adbutler....just some way to allow banners to rotate and be tracked. Don't disagree with adding AdSense, but like the richness of graphic banners to match the richness of the Scoopit UI. I've not launched sites on Scoopit due to this...but am really hoping you are close, or ready to add the ad components.

This is HUGE. There is a tremendous disincentive for using Scoop.it on our site because of the lack of an option for Google Adsense. Our sidebars have Adsense, but not the Scoop.it pages. Google Adsense and advertising are the main ways that we can support our site and content curation.

totally agree on the advertisement. it would be nice to be able to make some cash back seeing as the 79$ business plan is so expensive.

Suggest adding an industry standard size of banner (728X90) at top and bottom of pages, served separately, and have 1-2 300X250 (or 180X150) interspersed as an option on the Business Version. Also, think a text link box/placments would be valuable. HUGE benefit would be to add Sub-Topics to the pages as well...and let us target the ads on those pages as discrete inventory.

I am searching the FAQ and Knowledge files for methods to monetize in either Biz or the top plan.
Of course, when I saw the chance to vote on the idea of being able to add Google Adsense in the future, I had to vote with three stars!

By the way, the ad that I have posted in my header is getting plenty of click thrus. Very pleased to be able to have it here. Still would love a customizable sidebar for the rest of my ads

If there is the ability to ad adsense I will definitely sign up for a paid account.

since I'm a business subscriber, I was able to customize my header so that I could put in an advertisement... but I still have a lot of revenue from my main site in a right hand sidebar that is left hanging because I can't include that sidebar on my scoop topic.

To answer BelizeNet's question, I'm using my scoop topic embedded in my site now as a subdomain. I'm including it in my menus and have incorporated the scoop widget in my sidebar on my blog to try to drive additional views. All of this adds to page hits for my site (I'm getting about 1000 scoop it views a day now via twitter and Facebook posts) and all that increases visibility for my advertisers on the main blog. But i'd still love to have a sidebar on the scoop page!

I too am exploring ways to monetize the work that goes into maintaining the topic. I agree that allowing advertising space is an excellent idea. How else are editors monetizing their sites?
