Ideas and Improvements
Hi! We want to hear from you – what can we do to make sure that Scoop.it is the best platform it can possibly be? Don’t hesitate to share thoughts, ideas, improvements, or features that you’d like to see implemented.

Two Thoughts on Tags
Is there a way to manage your Tags?
For example, if I have "apple" and "Apple", is there a way to consolidate them quickly? Also, I am unsure of what "Clear tag selection" does. I had a bad experience with another program where I accidentally erased all of my Tags (hours). That program did not have a "verify" step, so I was quite upset. Perhaps this option should be moved lower (below tags) to avoid accidental erasing.

More than one favorite
How about having TWO favorites one on each column.

Delete Multiple Sources at Once
I think there should be a quicker way to delete sources rather than individually

Date
Hi,
When you've swapped the Curator's name and the one of the Autor of the source, you've kept the date of curation in place, it has nothing to do there.
Either you are able to get the right date of the source's edition, or you should place the date of curation aside the Curator's name.
Regards

Short/Full news
I want to see a short extract of the articles in the FOLLOW tab and see the whole article in View Topic mode, it would be nice to see full articles, as a full environment, just linking the source article for copyright.

Subtagging
It would be nice if by entering a tag like, say, "this: that", "that" would be presented in the tags list as a subtag of the "this" tag, accessible through nested menus.
I'd really like it because it'd help a lot managing the tags in my scoop.it on literature. I have lots of "author: Someone" tags, tending to grow, and that'd be a way to manage and organize them without letting them drown all the other tags.

API should exclude the pinnedpost from the list of returned curated posts
It would be good if the api would check which id a topic's pinned post has and not collect this post agin in the list of curated posts.

Option to disable other's topics suggestions
I want to see suggestions readers can make on my topics but I do not want my What's new stream be flooded with suggestion on other topics.
An option to view other's topics event would be welcome

Preview button.
A "preview button", to check the post before posting. It would be great and useful.

Let me Select Tumblr Blog
Here's an "idea" that you marked as completed when it is not: "It's a great tool! But... I need to be able to post to the various Tumblr blogs I have (per topic I curate) - and the same for various specialized Twitter accounts I have - and the same for various Facebook pages. Please! Then, it would be PERFECT!"
You have, indeed, fixed the Twitter part but not the Tumblr part!
If I produce different Tumblr blogs under one login, I cannot select which blog to connect to. You are forcing it all on my general personal blog. I…
5 votesHi Darcy. Good point and well noted. You’re right: this works for Twitter for now but not for Tumblr, hence the fact we closed the previous idea. Sorry about the confusion. We’ll review the idea. Thanks for the feedback.

Here's how I would love scoop.it to work.
Is there any hope for these changes to be implemented?
Thanks

Allow posting to different facebook group pages
allow a curator to post to one or more facebook group pages that they are already subscribed to.

Could we sort Suggested content by source ?
it would help to be able to sort Suggested content by source to select quicker papers we want to scoop

Reduce the number of redundant suggestions
During each curation session, I always have a lot of links pointing to the same webpage. 1 single link should be proposed to reduce the curation time. Redundant links should be easily detected through URL analysis.
Ideally, the discarded links should also be memorized in order not to suggest them at the next curation session.

Hows about a "you are welcome" button for when people thank you for a scoop. After all we are a civilised bunch ;)

When tweeting a scooped article, include author's Twitter handle
When curating an item, determine if that page is from someone who has a Twitter handle. If so, cite their handle in the tweet so they will easily see the article is in the tweet.

StatusNet / Identi.ca Support
Extending Scoop.it integration with arbitrary StatusNet servers and, at least with Identi.ca would be really great.
Thanks in advance for considering

Include more open souce social networking Friendica, Identi.ca, Diaspora, etc
It would be good to be able to share with opensource social media like Ident.ca and Friedica etc will you including these in the near future.
