Better search engine for topics (advanced operators, filtering, sorting)
I have problems finding good topics related to mine. It would be great if we had
- advanced (boolean) operators, possibility to search in titles/descriptions/articles
- sorting (new topic, popular, etc.)
- filtering (country, language, recently updated, etc.)Would be great also if the SERPs were easier to read : not only has widget but also with detailled view were we could read the full title and metadatas.

select multiple tags while reading
When reading a scoop, it would be nice to be able to select multiple tags. Then you only see the posts that have both (or even more) tags. Example: Politics, Obama, Romney versus only being able to select Obama OR Romney. Makes exploring easier!

automatic suggestion of tags to users
It would be much more efficient, if you suggest the user a list of tags that are relevant to his curated hyperlink, than having the user adding no tags at all, because it costs him so much time to think about relevant tags.
It is very easy. You can auto-suggest tags to the user by implementing the Zemanta API: http://www.zemanta.com/demo/
API for the tech people:

Export OPML file
It could be great to be able to export OPML file from scoop it, in order to extract RSS flux and be able to organise compatibility with other feed reader.
Thanks

What about it? I think you should let scoops have more visibility in the home.

hide or mark read topics
i have many topics, so sometimes i cannot read all of them :
when i come back on my page "What's New on the -a lot of - topics" or the page "My - a lot of - Followed Topics", topics i previously read and topics i didn't read are together and similar :
it would be nice to hide the read ones.

Improve topics search
Hi,
first i'd like to thank you for this amazing resource, Scoop.it gives me way to organize my info and share them in such a nice way.
I'd like to suggest you to improve topics search in two ways. First, giving more results when looking for awesome topics. Second, adding an advanced mode with the possibility of find topics by tags (not only by titles).
Thanks again for great work, keep on this way!
5 votesHi,
Adding more awesome topics will make them a little less special we think, but why not.
About adding the possibility to look for articles/topics by tags, it could really be a good idea. We’ll consider your suggestion but we’re still waiting for more reactions from other users.
Thanks for using Scoop.it and we truly appreciate the love!

Detect the inactive following scoop it themes and the more active topics on Scoop it
The more important thing in my curation is to have the best up to date topics on my following list. Is there a way to have a statistics page which could recall the inactive, less active, more active topic on my followings and outside my following (more active) to facilitate an update following topic list ?

Search
The current search design is cumbersome -- I have to retype or cut&paste the search term after exploring each hit. How about a couple of different search UI designs?
I like the tag search or word cloud metaphor.
I'd also be happy with just a simple directory tree.
A simple list of hits on a list down the side of the page so I can explore the list without retyping.
I realize I can search from Google, from "outside" Scoop.it! but that's also a bit of a pain since it doesn't "know" I'm trying to browse.4 votes -

Give more data access
On the dashboard, we can see "12 thanks", "11 approved", etc...
I'd like to have a page with all the "thank you" I received, all my suggested articles, all my messages, etc...
Having just a list on the homepage isn't really convenient.3 votes -

Improve the "suggested content" feature under topics and allow for followed topics to be brought in more easily
I am really enjoying Scoop.it so far and it has been great for connecting with great articles about my industry. However, I think the curation system is a bit lopsided and I wanted to provide some feedback. When I search for articles in the explore area, I get a lot of awesome resources. However, when I go to view my topic, the articles suggested for curation based on the keywords for my topic are terrible! Most of them are irrelevant, in a different language or just of low quality. Rather than just using a tool to haphazardly google search keywords…

..separate dashboard button.
..well, when you manage over your own topics somehow you wish to fast overview things on dashboard or fetch options only available on that page. So that is only button which one can be used appropriately. Thanks on concern in advance.
